Dead Cross are in the Studio – RIGHT NOW!

Another week, another Dead Cross update. This time we have confirmation that they’re in the studio recording.

Since Dead Cross’ Super Bowl Alternative Halftime Show we’ve been wondering what they’ll be up to next.  There’s been plenty of news about the European Summer Tour, but now we know that they’ve begun recording.

They’re currently with Ross Robinson, who produced their first album, in Studio 606 in Northbridge, California.  Mike Crain is very much impressed that they’re recording on the infamous Neve 8028 recording console that used to reside in “Sound City Studio” and captured in a documentary Sound City

It took more than a year for their debut album to be released from the time that it was recorded (owing to them losing their singer and bringing Mike Patton into the fold), so we’re hoping that it’ll be much faster this time around.

This won’t be Mike Patton’s first experience working with Ross Robinson. Patton provided vocals to Sepultura’s “Lookaway” from their album Roots (1996) alongside Jonathan Davis from Korn.
