In this special Dillinger Escape Plan edition, we quickly look at an update on their recent bus accident, a BBC live performance, and the vinyl 12″ of Irony is a Dead Scene being repressed.
Update on The Dillinger Escape Plan Bus Accident
Earlier today The Dillinger Escape Plan revealed more information about their recent bus accident.
You can see from the images below the utter destruction from the crash. The band also passes on their thanks for the outpouring of support for the band.
The remainder of their tour has been canceled.
Live Performance with the BBC
BBC’s Radio 1 Rock Show recently had The Dillinger Escape plan on to perform live. They recorded four songs at the Maida Vale studios and it’s currently available online to listen to.
Greg and Ben briefly discuss how they performed the songs live, and a little about their final run of shows after the release of Dissociation. They also poked fun at the growing size of the members of Guns and Roses.
Have a listen, the songs are almost laid-back (if that’s possible for The Dillinger Escape Plan).
Here’s the songs they performed, sadly they didn’t perform any of the songs from Irony is a Dead Scene.
- One of us is the Killer (One of Us Is the Killer – 2013)
- Symptom of Terminal Illness (Dissociation – 2016)
- Surrogate (Dissociation – 2016)
- Mouth Of Ghosts (Ire Works – 2007)
You can listen to the session on the BBC here.
Irony Is a Dead Scene Vinyl Repressed
In 2002 The Dillinger Escape Plan worked with Mike Patton to release Irony is a Dead Scene. A short, sharp, and intense four song EP introduced a huge number of Mike Patton fans to The Dillinger Escape Plan. The EP features three original songs and a cover of Aphex Twin’s Come to Daddy.
This week, on 10 February 2017, the 12″ vinyl was repressed and rereleased. You can order a copy online today.
