Mike Patton is set to reunite with DJ Qbert and perform at David Lynch’s upcoming “Festival of Disruption”. Find out more.
Mike Patton and DJ Qbert recently performed twice in San Francisco. They’re now set to perform again as part of legendary director David Lynch’s “Festival of Disruption”. The festival will take place in Los Angeles, at The Theatre at Ace Hotel on the 13th and 14th of October, 2018.
Patton is no stranger to Lynch’s work, having sampled Blue Velvet many times on Mr. Bungle’s debut self-titled album, as well as covering “Fire Walk With Me” from Lynch’s Twin Peaks on Fantômas’ The Director’s Cut (2001).
Alongside Mike Patton, there will be a live score performed by RZA, “Live From the 36th Chamber”. There will be talks and screenings with David Lynch Q&A with Coffee and Donuts; Francis Ford Coppola and Jack; Grace Jones with Bloodlight and Bami; Carrie Brownstein and Barry Gifford and Wild At Heart.
Other musical performances will include the Dover Quartet playing Twin Peaks; Dylan Carlson; Justin Johnson; Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra; Richard Reed Parry; Saint Motel (DJ);Vic Mensa and the Soundbath project with Jónsi (of Sigur Rós), Alex Somers, and Paul Corley
