Secret Chiefs 3 to Tour with Dead Cross

The upcoming Dead Cross Tour of North America will have Secret Chiefs 3 as their support band for most of their dates.

What a busy 24 hours it’s been, “Seizure and Desist” being played on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show with Daniel P Carter, the official music video for “Seizure and Desist” being released, and now we have confirmation of who’ll be touring with them. Trey Spruance‘s band Secret Chiefs 3 will support almost all of the North American Dead Cross tour.

Spruance is no stranger to working with Mike Patton as he was a member of Mr. Bungle alongside Patton and he also recorded guitars for Faith No More’s King For a Day… Fool For A Lifetime (1995) before leaving the band.

Spruance is also no stranger to Dead Cross as he was the one who broke the story that Patton was in a hardcore band during an interview last year.  There was a discussion that his earlier leak might’ve put Spruance in Patton’s bad books, but to be joining Dead Cross on tour seems to but that idea to rest.  It’ll be really interesting to see who’s part of Secret Chiefs 3 in its current incarnation, let’s hope that they get a certain bassist to visit them on-state in New York…..

When Dave Lombardo was asked about touring with Secret Chiefs 3 he said, “I have no idea what kind of chaos it will conjure on stage or in the audience, but I know it’s going to be a hell of a good time.”
